Amazing trails and campground with a beautiful view of our provinces most beautiful landscape I highly recommend a visitor for a far away land or someone from here in nova Scotia to visit these trails but I do have a problem regarding safety at one of the amazing views the guard rail is severely altered which is really dangerous taking into consideration the immense fall that a tourist would undergo if they go past where the guard rails are supposed to be

Hiking trail with good elevation starting from a campground and leading to a wonderful view. There’s a handy paper map available at the trail start. We took the highway trail up and did the blue loop! Overall, good experience. There are washrooms and water fountains at the campground. The trails are a bit rugged so definitely wear hiking boots, not trainers. Bring mosquito spray!

Huge beautiful hiking trail that is located within the park/campground near it. You can choose 1 easy, 1 moderate or 2 hard paths. The best views are on the path "Salt Mountain Trail"(number 2 on map). Those 40 minutes of walking are worth of the view from the mountain.

Hiked Salt Mountain on May 10, 2019. This was the "off-season" so no facilities were open and it was a little difficult to find the start of the trails. Once we got our bearings it was a great hike. We did the red trail which meets up with the blue at the top. The red trail would be tougher for less experienced hikers. Good footwear is a must. Full hike up the red and down the blue took about 2.5-3hrs. Would recommend to anyone looking for a more challenging hike with facilities (in the...
