Read moreI visited The Windsor Powder Mill today and had a wonderful time. The trails are well-maintained and offer a peaceful walk alongside the Watopeka River. I spent about 2 to 3 hours exploring, and the $6 admission fee (tax included) felt reasonable. 
The area was surprisingly quiet; I didn’t encounter anyone else during my walk. There are several spots by the river where you can sit and dip your feet in the water, which was quite refreshing. The free parking is a bonus, and the natural scenery, especially along the river, is beautiful.

Read moreThe walk/hiking is nice. It’s free for citizens of Windsor and 6$ for others. You need to show proof of residence . 5$ for students You can buy gifts at the receptionist which also has washrooms and a fire.
Saw some geese on the walk. The place is quiet. Saw a trail for hiking. Huge packing and generally a nice hike. There’s benches on the route to sit if you want. I visited on a Saturday in a Winter. There wasn’t much snow so could just walk with normal boots. You can download the app to see the various routes.
