This was my first visit to the Assiniboine Forest in many years. I have some mobility issues, so it has to be a good day for me to commit to a walk in a location that I dont know well and where I don't know what's coming. My wife and I checked the map at the parking lot and picked a short loop. It was a beautiful Sunday. We were not disappointed. The scenery is amazing and my phone camera was working overtime. As someone who lives in the neighborhood of the entrance I am totally disgusted that the website boasts it has so many hectares of land yet we have to bear the burden of parking around our houses. Every weekend and in good weather every day there is an invasion of people who are in a frenzy to find parking spots on our streets.
