So, this place is a forest. The trails are pretty awesome, there are lots of different distances and the map at the parking lot is accurate.

Last time I was here, it was pretty awesome. I witnessed a Tinder date step off, I saw witches in a photography sessions and giant family in a other photography session.

It was like, my fall bingo card was filled on the first night.

I was at the end of my work out session and there was a crying baby at the end; absolutely singing my feelings, god bless him.

It felt like a very cathartic end.

Again. Big fan....

This was my first visit to the Assiniboine Forest in many years. I have some mobility issues, so it has to be a good day for me to commit to a walk in a location that I dont know well and where I don't know what's coming. My wife and I checked the map at the parking lot and picked a short loop. It was a beautiful Sunday. We were not disappointed. The scenery is amazing and my phone camera was working overtime. Flatlands, wetlands, grasses and forests of trees. We will definitely return next year to try a different path and take more...

As someone who lives in the neighborhood of the entrance I am totally disgusted that the website boasts it has so many hectares of land yet we have to bear the burden of parking around our houses. Every weekend and in good weather every day there is an invasion of people who are in a frenzy to find parking spots on our streets. They disrespect our properties, park on the boulevards, leave garbage behind, let their dogs loose. Why has our little neighborhood become the parking lot of a park with...

Great place, to see deer, owls, birds, and burrs... sad to see people ruin it with garbage but clearly the trail volunteers are doing a great job at keeping it clean. Needs more garbage and recycling bins along the way though. You can get to Fort Whyte this way. If You’re coming from Assiniboine park be sure to cross at the first light because you can’t get across the road safely enough to access the trail. Trail is well maintained.

I think the Forrest is nice to have in the middle of a city, giving kids a nice touch of the outdoors. Hopefully the people working for the city don't decide that some development would be better, and it will remain here for years to come. The trails are fun, and the entire Assiniboine Park area is a great place to walk, bike or run in.

Always love walking through Assiniboine Forest! I especially enjoy it when I'm with my dog as he seems to really enjoy being surrounded by trees and nature! Always other people walking, biking and jogging through Assiniboine Forest whether it be early morning, afternoon, later in the evening.
