Buhler Recreation Park — Attraction in Winnipeg

The diamonds get to be in worse condition every year and there are still gate fees, the went from $2 to $3 a few years ago and I have not seen any improvements. The batters boxes are dug in deep and now it is getting soft around the bases. All they seem to do is add more sand and now home plate is below field level.

I think all of the diamonds can use an overhaul and get packed down properly with proper sand. I would also love to see the same batters boxes that I have seen at Little Mountain... who made improvements AND...

What an outstanding ball diamond set up so beautifully. I'm especially impressed that Johnny Buhler donated to it. I have one of his tractors what a fine piece of engineering. It shifts starts and stops. But I'm now rambling about tractors and not ball diamonds. So nice field, oh and they serve beer which is great who dosen't want to watch under 12 girls ball and have a couple...

Decent enough Pitch for a soccer field (there are 4 fields at this facility). That's where the positives end. It's a decent drive outside the city, very prone to windy days, and is severely overrun by geese, leading to unpleasant droppings everywhere. I'm happy to have the fields, but a little more maintenance to keep the geese at bay or at least clean up after them, would...
