A must for those interested in wooden boats and even more so for those who are interested in building wooden boats. Excellent history and we nabbed a guide to explain everything which made it just that much more in depth and interesting. Detailed explanation with real life examples of boat construction. Outside they have an active wooden boat building facility that also offers courses. Some are for young people. They also construct wooden boat kits which you can purchase and put together. Just an amazing place of an artform that is sadly being lost.

What an incredible museum! With so much information to read and learn about. I spent 2.5 hours browsing the space and enjoyed all the exhibits. The museum us very well put together with so many first hand accounts of the culture its really special! If you're in the area it's a must see.

Stopped in on a whim and we are so glad we did! Our guide was informative, knowledgeable and lovely to be around. A ton of interactive exhibits and hands on items. Mr. Canning in the boat building section was wonderful to speak to and showed us a little more of the fine details. Great little interpretive centre and gift shop too! HIGHLY...
