Thomson Lake Regional Park — Attraction in Wood River No. 74

Main complaint is the pool is not open until 1pm. Second is the lack of trees. Third is the lack of debit machines in the park. The bathroom was disgusting with urine all over the floor. The fishflies were horrible as well. It seems like the only sites with any trees or decent shade were the seasonal sites. The pool was very expensive and the concession had very few items so I would not be returning. If I could of given this place 1/2 a star it would of been too much. The stalls were all so uneven we need all 12 of our leveling blocks and we still weren't level. It smelled, there were so many insects that you couldn't even have a conversation without them flying in your mouth. Then they want to charge $10 to go swimming when you're paying way to much for your stall. We were so disappointed with this place and will never be back or recommend to anyone we want to...

While I did not use many of the amenities, it looks like a beautiful park. I only camped for one night and found the other guests in the park were extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived late and hungry. The couple beside me gave me supper 😊 Then another couple saw me leave the store empty handed and asked what I was looking for.
