Great place to view Dawson City from above! You can see town, the confluence of the Klondike and Yukon River, the historical gold mining area along the Bonanza River, and way off into the mountains. Bring a jacket, it's usually windy and cool on top of the Dome! Great place for viewing the northern lights in the fall. There is a big gathering here on the night of the summer solstice. On the very peak of the dome, there is a large wooden bench to relax on. Parking is available for several vehicles. Caution: It's a steep windy drive, and isn't plowed in the winter. Seasonal rides available...

Beautiful views, both in the daytime and at night (if the skies are clear). This is also a great spot to view the northern lights. Just be considerate of others. While I was there watching the northern lights past midnight a couple vehicles packed with tourists roared up, stopped in the way of other vehicles, kept their engines idling, and loudly ran up the dome chattering excitedly and loudly, kind of killed the whole mood of the peaceful night. Aside from that a great experience. I drove up, but the road up to the dome looked like a decent ~2 mile hike if you're just looking to get...

Midnight Dome provides an amazing view of Dawson City, the Yukon River and the impressive mountain ranges of the Yukon. The vantage point is about 9 km from Dawson City via a paved road. For the more adventurous a 2 hour hike up the mountain is also available. The top provides the perfect seating area for a spectacular view of the late evening sunset. Definitely a must see when visiting...

We originally learned of this spot from YouTube Art We There Yet. It was everything they described. We originally rode our bikes up. It's a SUPER tough and long uphill, but oh so fun downhill ride. We then drove our Earthroamer to the top. There is a fantastic bench to relax and enjoy the view of Dawson Creek. Well worth the two visits!!
