Farol de D. Amélia is a lighthouse in the southwestern point of the island of São Vicente in northwestern Cape Verde. It lies 3 km west of the village of São Pedro. The lighthouse is a white square tower with a lantern and a gallery, 14 m high. The lighthouse was completed in 1894.

Easy walk for adults although very steep cliffs on either side. I have some fear of heights so the last bit was all about focusing on moving forward without thinking too much but I made it there. Doable for all adults except those with a completely paralysing fear of heights.
If the lighthouse keeper Danildo is there you can ask him to show you the lighthouse and take you to the very top. If you're lucky you may see some sea life from there, but even if you don't the views are incredible.
