Colliers Public Beach — Attraction in East End

My husband and I drove an hour and a half to visit this beach because we saw other reviews mentioning how idyllic and immaculate it was and promising your pick of conch shells; and while we did find two beautiful ones, it was by far the dirtiest beach I’ve ever been to in my life. I knew not to expect relaxing waves / much swimming, but the shore itself was covered in a copious amount of trash (ie bottles, shoes, cell phone cases) to the point that it made walking really difficult, and we only ended up staying around 15 minutes. It was really cool driving along the coast, but there are much cleaner and more scenic beaches that the country...

This is the best beach to see and enjoy the sunrise! I went there early in the morning for the sunrise, and there are no people on the beach. So I enjoy the beautiful scenery and the breeze. It's a peaceful experience.

If you are staying in the downtown area of George Town, you will have to get up early and drive about 40 minutes to get here.
