Sidu River Bridge — Attraction in Badong County

The Sidhu River Bridge in Enshi, China, is the highest bridge in the world, standing at an impressive altitude of 1,600 feet. This remarkable structure connects two mountain peaks, spanning the great Sidhu River. Its height surpasses that of New Guinea's Hejiju Gorge Pipeline Bridge, which previously held the record at 1,200 feet.

The bridge was constructed as part of China's extensive highway expansion project, aiming to improve transportation across mountainous regions that were previously challenging to traverse. The project was completed in 2009, using advanced engineering techniques, including the use of rockets to install its foundational supports at the mountain's peak.

The bridge spans 5,000 feet and features solid steel platforms for support, painted yellow to enhance its aesthetic appeal. Built with the finest materials, it can withstand the load of heavy vehicles, such as 45-ton trucks, offering a robust and reliable connection between the regions it serves.

جسر نهر سيدو، دولة الصين التي مازالت تملك الرقم القياسي لأطول جسر في العالم منذ مئات السنوات باعتبار سور الصين العظيم جسراً من الناحية المعمارية، تملك كذلك جسراً آخر يتميز بكونه أعلى جسر في عالمنا اليوم.

جسر نهر سيدو والذي يقع في مقاطعة إينشي الصينية يقع على ارتفاع شاهق يبلغ 1600 قدم ويربط بين قمتي جبلين يمران فوق نهر سيدو الكبير، ليحطم رقم السابق لجسر هيجيجو جورج بايبلاين في غينيا الجديدة والذي يبلغ ارتفاعه 1200 قدم.

القيادة فوق جسر نهر سيدو تعتبر تجربة رائعة ومخيفة في آن واحد حيث تشعر وكأن سيارتك تطوف في الهواء على ارتفاع شاهق يخطف الأنفاس ويثير القشعريرة.

مشروع بناء الجسر انتهى في عام 2009 كجزء من مشروع كبير في الصين لتطير شبكة الطرق السريعة، حيث يصل بين منطقتين جبليتين عاليتين كان من الصعب عبورهما وتحتاجان الكثير من الوقت خصوصاً مع وجود نهر سيدو في الوسط.

يبلغ طول الجسر 5000 آلاف قدم فوق الوادي المحيط بالنهر، وقد استخدمت أجود مواد البناء في إنشاءه واضطر المهندسون لاستخدام صاروخ لتثبيت الدعامات الأساسية للجسر في قمة الجبل، كما تم تدعيمه بمنصتين من الفولاذ الصلب وتم طلائها باللون الأصفر لتمنح شكلاً محبباً للجسر.
