Somewhat in a love and hate relationship with this place. Love ❤️- it’s new to me and it’s full of excitement with all these artistic decorations and authentic food. Every homestay has its own style which really impresses me. What I don’t like is that too many people try to sell you things at a much higher price than its worth. I mean I understand it’s a popular tourist spot. But some are just ridiculous. Even the driver we hired from the homestay, which we thought he would help us navigate and get better deals, took us to jade market and restaurants that he seemingly has a connection with. Shaking my head. Be aware and know where you want to go for fun and eatery, don’t let them take you around.
