This is one of the popular attractions in Chaozhou, a temple shrine that was built to commemorate Han Yu, a court official during the Song dynasty for his vast contributions in promoting education and charity work during that time. A lot of exhibits, paintings and displays are about him and some other prominient figures of his time.
The shrine has a nice ambience with lots of greenery and pavillions but beware of the steps that you will have to walk up from the entrance as if you are climbing a mountain. The steps are steep and quite a challenge if you have weak legs or are seniors but if you are able to make it to the top (which I did), you will get to enjoy the nice scenery and the bird eye's view of the surrounding area. Very nice!
And if you are into Chinese history or education, it's a good place to visit, if not, you can...
