An island with a view! Just in front of the Kui Men, the gateway of the Qutang Gorge, lies Baidicheng, the "White Emperor City". Legend has it that the city's name is due to the warlord Gongsunshu, who, after seeing white smoke coming from a well in the form of a dragon, proclaimed himself Emperor of the Chengjia.
