Wonderful city park with stunning city views. It's worth the climb up through it passing the landscaped lakeside, various monuments & sculptures, to go up the hilltop tower. The sight of this majestic city is awe inspiring.
The tourist panel says :
"The predecessor of Kansheng Tower was Liangjiang Pavilion, which was built in 1984. Constructed with heavy investment, with an altitude of 380 metres and towering geese. At the top of the mountain. the building is 41.50 metres high and is a seven story tower. The building offers layered views. Climbing up to overlook Shenglou. Looking down at the layered highways, they spiral upwards, with a stunning view. Looking around, you can see the Jiangbei District and Yuzhong within a radius of tens of miles of Districts, Nan'an District, Shapingba District, Jiulongpo District, and Ben. The continuously flowing Yangtze River and Jialing River can be seen in full view. It is also a way to appreciate the three-dimensional mountain city and enjoy the scenery. The excellent place to enjoy the scenery and night view of the mountain city. Ascending the stairs, one suddenly feels the desire to be poor for thousands of miles. The Pagoda is working till 5 pm and opens again at evenings, close time at 10pm. I would recommend you to visit park at 8pm for perfect nightview. Also spring, summer time are more beautiful, because winter in Chongqing is generally foggy, so you would not get same effect. Also near pagoda you would find a small beautiful garden full of tullips, roses. Closing time for garden is 5 pm.
