Meili Snow Mountain, also known as Kawakarpo or Meili Xueshan, is a majestic mountain range located in the northwest of Yunnan Province, China.

The 3 photos were taken not far from the small (mostly Tibetan) city of Deqen. A short taxi ride (about 15 minutes) out of Deqen (aka Deqin or Deqing), brings you to a location called Feilai Temple; here you can overlook the peaks of the Meili Snow Mountains (Meili Xue Shan). The Mingyong glacier is seen in the first image [photo also taken from 飞来寺 (Fei Lai Si = Feilai Temple)] ... on route G214, in northwestern Yunnan Province. Within this chain of mountains is visible the highest mountain in Yunnan --- Kawa Garbo or Khawa Karpo, also transcribed as Kawadgarbo, Khawakarpo, Moirig Kawagarbo, / Kawa Karpo or Kha-Kar-Po), as it is known by local residents and pilgrims, or Kawagebo Peak (Chinese: 卡瓦格博)
