Some animal enclosures are really small, extremely hot glass boxes, with minimal shade for the animals to cool down, so you will see them hiding in the only shaded spots available. The enclosures for the large animals are small and bare, nothing like the natural habitat these animals live in. There is very little information about each animal, aside from a small notice with two paragraphs in Chinese and English. There is no attempt to educate the public about these wonderful creatures, nor anything about conservation or their native habitats. This zoo is for entertainment, so expect to see staff encouraging visitors to feed cheap honey / syrup to monkeys through a tiny hole in the viewing window, or riding elephants or forcing marine animals to perform tricks. If you like animals and are interested in their welfare and want to learn what is being done to preserve them, then don't visit here. If on the other hand, you see animals as brainless robots that can be exploited for entertainment, you'll be right at home. The food is expensive and very dull, though the ice creams were ok. The gift shop was very poor with just general tat you can buy anywhere. If you want to buy an ultraman figurine you can get one in the gift shop though I'm not sure why a zoo would sell this...
