Holds a Guinness World Record for being the most massive science museum in the world. That should tell wonders about the place already.
That being said, like others have said, you really should factor at least 5+ hours to really appreciate everything this place has to offer. Otherwise, you will miss out on a lot.
The entire place is overall most suitable for kids and young teens. Older audiences may find some exhibits to be a bit uninteresting.
At the moment, the first floor is closed off, and the basement level has no exhibits to offer. The second and third floors are where all the exhibits are, and the IMAX theatres for the documentaries that they offer are on the second floor but cost extra.
Admission is only 60 CNY for an adult. Toddlers are free. Plenty of accessibility, and English translations are available everywhere. Definitely a must-see in Guangzhou, if you have kids.
ID is required. Phone number is also required, but you can use a foreign one. Museum currently closes at 4:30 PM everyday as of April 2025, so come early. There are paid refreshments available inside the museum, so no need to bring food and drinks.

we also found a few molded popcorns in ours
