The hotel itself was great - nice location, clean rooms, fantastic city views, friendly engineer who helped me with the air conditioning problem, friendly cleaning lady... But, how could the reception staff be so rude to Accor members?!?!?!||My family are loyal Accor members and always booked Accor hotels when we travel. During this stay, we used one silver and one platinum member cards and booked three rooms. To be precise, one king size bed room with the silver card and two double beds rooms with the platinum card. When we arrive at the front desk, Jerry Lin, claimed that their king size bed rooms were sold out on that day, and we have to accept three double beds rooms arrangement. He said that I could check any booking websites and see if he was telling the truth. So I checked and he lied.||After insisting on at least one king size bed as indicated on the reservation, another problem raised. When I asked for platinum room upgrade, he said the next level room was sold out and asked me to pay for an extra ¥600 for a suite, otherwise, a double beds room with no upgrade. When do I always need to fight for my rights as a member?!?!?! When I insisted on a room upgrade, guess what, the 'next level' room became available.||Then another 'fight' during checking out. We needed to wait for the staff to check our rooms and see if we consumed, broke ... anything!!! I didn't even know that five-star hotels still did this check!!! When we told the staff Peter that we did not receive our fruits in our rooms, his first reaction was to find excuses and not to give what belongs to us to us!!!||Everything else was prefect but rude reception staffs Jerry Lin and Peter did ruin the whole experience. And interestingly, after a week, I still haven't got the hotel survey link in my email. So here I am, tell hotel manager, please please train your staffs before putting them at the front desk to...

Read moreWhile the location is indeed excellent, being close to various attractions and dining options, my experience with the room conditions and service fell significantly short of expectations, especially considering the 5-star rating of your establishment.||||Unfortunately, all rooms in your hotel appear to be designated as smoking rooms, contrary to what was advertised or expected. During my stay, I observed that other guests were smoking in their rooms despite the presence of warning signs. Additionally, I witnessed this issue personally, and the cleaning staff confirmed that smoking in the rooms was a common occurrence.||||As a result, the air conditioning system circulated the unpleasant smell of smoke throughout the hotel. Despite reporting this issue multiple times to the management, the responses provided were inadequate. I was offered to change rooms, but this did not resolve the issue as the smoke odor persisted, I checked couple other rooms, they all small like cigarettes . Additionally, the provision of extra fans and an air purifier did not mitigate the problem. Also the manager admitted they are hard to control other guests to stop smoking (which is a joke!) ||||I believe that a 5-star hotel should uphold a higher standard of service and enforce a smoke-free environment to ensure guest comfort. Unfortunately, the current practices do not reflect the high standards one would expect from a hotel of this caliber.||||Additionally, upon my check in. I was with my family waited for good 5mins, standing in front of the check in dest awkwardly with 2 staff seems has nothing to do but look at their computer. This was absolutely out of standard and respect. Sofitel guiyang, i shall certainly not coming back or recommend to any of my...
