We took a didi to this location. Number 1 must visit place in Haikou. We came during their off peak season in June. Tickets are much cheaper.
Foreigners to buy tickets over the manual counter. Have to show passport. Ticketing counter is located beside the tourist centre.
Free entry for kids 6 years old and below or less than 1.2m tall. Discounted tickets for seniors above 60.
A lot of steep steps to climb. Wear sports shoes, bring sunblock and mosquito repellent.
The volcano crater is not hard to reach. Just walk all the way up. But to go to the bottom of the forested crater - is the challenge.
There is also a mini museum about this place to visit with cooling fan. There are drink stalls available along the way.
There is also a kids outdoor playground but the price is rather expensive. Hence we skipped and decided to bring our kids to the mall for cooler playing...

Fresh air and magnificent view. Able to see Haikou City from the top. This crater has erupted 8000 years ago and now it has grown vegetation all around. This geopark is maintained well and proper, just that many Chinese tourist being loud and inconsiderate towards nature and spit all around.
