Fabulous free museum showcasing Hainan island’s unique and rich history and culture. So much effort put into the exhibits on display and there are English translations for many of the artifacts. It was a shame more detailed explanations wasn’t available for non Chinese speakers to learn even more about Hainan as I don’t think the brief introduction on each floor did justice to the artifacts on display.
The only issue is that you need to pre-book. The Website is rubbish if you do not have a Chinese mobile phone then you will run into lots of problems registering for the free tickets. In my case, I just asked my hotel to book those tickets on my behalf and I was able to provide a QR code to scan at the entrance.
Spent 3 hrs there and it was worth the booking hassle as I went away learning so much about Hainan...

It's 3 stories and best if you do the exhibition in order.
Just keep left and go in a clockwise direction and you should be fine.
I'm surprised this is free, but I guess they want people to know about Hainan, China and its history.
