Visited on a public holiday and it was not crowded at all. The sea is calm and you can enjoy some quiet time here. There were two floating stations located in the middle of the marked area. This beach is a good place to polish your swimming skills. I felt the upthrust force was high. Prolly due to the high salt concentration. You can find the basic facilities in this beach. However the lifeguard service was inactive on the day we visited.

Read moreWe did not expect such a peaceful beach in Hong Kong. It is just 30-40 minute Taxi/Uber ride from downtown away. You can drive to Tai Wan Tau Beach and then talk a short walk on the walking path through the forest to get there.

The sand is fine, the water is not crazy, there is a small store where you can buy or rent sun umbrellas, ice cream, water, and beach mats. There are showers, plenary of people swimming and sunbathing, but it is not overly crowded.
