It's a good place for hikers. It can be a challenge for the beginners and the weekend worriers the scale this hill. The climb can be difficult due to the steep inclines and broken steeps at the final quarter to the summit, even though the hill tops at only 523 meters. The top section of the hill has less trees to offer shades during summer, so make sure to bring a hat and put on some sun blocks. Near to the top, the path is not well maintained and it can be slippery when wet and need to be more careful during the decent.
On a clear day, however, the summit offers a fantastic view of the New Territories, the Shing Mun Reservoir and the even the Thing Ma Bridge.
For beginner hikers, start the climb from Shing Mum Reservoir (Maclehose Trail section 7) and take a detour to Shatin (through Tao Fong Shan to Sha Tin Train Station). For those who likes more challenges, it will be a more enjoyable hike to Grass Hill, Lead Mine Pass and Tai Mo Shan by following the Maclehose Trail...

Need to bring food and water. Didnt see any monkeys although there are plenty about at...
