Been to this place once, on 14 September 2016. If you are a lover of mountain scenic spot, then this is the perfect place for you to spend your holiday.
This beautiful mountain is located in Anhui (安徽) Province, the People's Republic of China. You can go there by bullet train from Shanghai or Beijing and stop at Huangshan North Station. From this train station you will need to go another 3 hours (more or less) to the gathering point, or bus station where visitor will need to climb to the scenic spot using special bus with special driving license. You would not be allowed to climb the mountain using your own vehicle if you do not have the special license.
After a several minutes of roller-coster like ride (I mean the sharp turn, ups and downs, but smooth ride by experienced driver) you will stop at a bus terminal. Then there you go to start explorimg the beautifulness of the mountain. It is fogy and you will feel like in a above-cloud-village. The scenic up there is truly amazing. It feels like that you are inside the old Chinese paintings of Huangshan / 黄山 (The Yellow Mountain).
When exploring this mountain, be sure to wear your comfortable shoes, with sturdy sole because you will walk on the mountainous terrain, small rocks, gravels, that sometime wet and slippery.
If you are not strong enough, please don't go climbing because it is really exhausting. Or you can hire a lifter (bier-like lifter) where they will help you roving the mountain while you on it. Some people will help move the bier on their shoulders (while you are sitting on it).
After finishing your adventure, you can go down to the transfer bus-station by riding cable car. One cabin of cable car can accomodate up to 6 people. But 4 people is the most convenient.
Five stars for this Huangshan Scenic Area. Highly...
Read moreHuangshan Mt or Yellow Mt located in Huangshan City Anhui, China with granite peaks and ancient pines had since ancient times inspired famous Chinese artists, poets and scholars to produce their respective great works. It's often shrouded in thick fog "Sea of Clouds" lending the scenes a mystical fairyland air. From the lowlands, our group has to take a bus ride winding thru' sharp bends before reaching the Yungu (Cloud Valley) cable car station, 1 of 4 cable car stns leading to different trails. The cable car can seat max 8 paxs. The ride up takes about 10 mins depending on weather conditions. It was drizzling when we took the cable car ride up. After exiting from the stn, we started our Eastern Steps trail walk which took us up and down stone steps, winding our way to various popular spots along the trail. Huangshan hiking trails arent meant for those with weak knees. Visibility was low then due to rising thick fog and therefore the surrounding scenes either appeared blur or visible for seconds only. After 2 hrs of endless walking/hiking, we stopped for lunch and descended an hr thereafter as most of us were already feeling exhausted. Overall despite the foggy scenes which Huangshan is famous for, we felt a sense of achievement to have visited and left our...
