Baotu Spring （West Gate） — Attraction in Jinan

Absolutely beautiful place! There are around 25 springs inside the park, and all of them are crystal clear and bubbly, and full of koi as well. The spring is what gives Jinan it's nickname: The Spring City. The water from the spring is so pure that you can drink the abnormally sweet water if it hasn't touched the surface. There are also little displays in the park that show the daily life of the residents inside. The park's buildings are like little pavilions on water. Well this wasn’t as impressive as everyone claimed so I was a bit disappointed. But can’t complain because I wasn’t there during the right time of year and the place was smaller than what I expected. Also it’s location was in city’s centre which may seem odd but since spring was made for city’s water supply so of course it’ll be in the centre of city. Also, whenever i see a historical place like this surrounded by modern city and still preserved as it was in the past it feels good to see I’m in modern world but it makes me wonder and imagine how city and people’s life must have been at that place in...

Baotu Spring is one of the three signature attractions of Jinan, the other two being QianfoShan and Daming Lake.

Baotu Quan is the most famous spring of all 72 springs in Jinan. In Baotu Spring Park itself, there are 14 of them. There are 11 of them in the Five Dragon pool and all others spread all over Jinan.
