Meizhou Island — Attraction in Meizhou Island

Offering respect and prayers to the Goddess of the Sea (Mazu), visited her shrines and various temples. Spectacular views up on the hill, was graceful having this chance to pay my respects to Mazu. Visited the birth place of Mazu and offered respect to her parents.

On each visit I was "touched" by Mazu - an emotional feeling right from the inner heart after offering my prayer. A deep feeling that is difficult to describe. This is very true from what I have personally encountered. This was my 3rd visit in Sept 2023’.

Will definitely visit her shrines and temples in the near future.

Local residents informed there are many devotees coming from overseas bringing along their deities back to Meizhou temple during the auspicious date of the year. There will be grand prayer celebration, street procession and performances by locals plus display of fireworks etc etc.

Devotees informed that Mazu was respected as the Heavenly Queen and she was widely respected and worshipped by many devotees around the world. Really amazing !

我是一個媽祖的虔誠信徒，一直想去湄洲島朝聖，這次終於實現了我的夢想。我從廈門搭乘渡輪到達湄洲島，一下船就感受到了島上的祥和氣氛。島上的風景很美，海水清澈，沙灘細膩，岩石奇特，還有一座高大的媽祖石像，仰望著天空，彷彿在祝福著眾生。

我來到了湄洲媽祖祖廟，這裡是媽祖的故鄉，也是她升天的地方。廟宇金碧輝煌，雕樑畫棟，香火鼎盛，信徒絡繹不絕。我進入了正殿，見到了媽祖的神像，她面容慈祥，眼神深邃，讓我感到一種親切和安慰。我虔誠地獻上了香燭和鮮花，祈求媽祖保佑我和我的家人平安幸福。我還參觀了寢殿、梳妝樓、朝天閣等其他建築，了解了媽祖的故事和傳奇。

這次湄洲島媽祖廟之旅讓我感受到了媽祖的恩典和慈悲，也讓我對媽祖信仰有了更深的認識和敬畏。我覺得這是一次非常值得的旅行，我給它五星好評，也推薦所有媽祖的信徒和喜歡海島風光的遊客來這...
