Drum Tower — Attraction in Ningbo

Ningbo. Located right next to the Drum Tower (gulou 鼓楼) underground station of lines 1 and 2 you can find the Drum Tower of Ningbo which is just about 2 hours by train from Shanghai.

The building is not huge but worth visiting. There is a nice view of the shopping street behind the tower and when I visited there was a small, free contemporary art exhibition inside.

After we saw the tower we walked among shops selling various snacks and finally ended up in the park - called Zhongshan Guangchan 中山广场 - beyond the shopping area. If you have just a little time it is a great idea to visit these places. One hour is enough and getting...

The best place in the city for me so far. Like any other old street in China this one is full of little shops, cafes and narrow lanes. Old architecture is beautiful....
