卓尔山风景区 — Attraction in Qinghai

For the Mountains itself I would give 5 Stars, for the Tourism spot I would rather give 1 Star. The ticket is pretty expensive and you need to take shuttle bus. Prepare to get your ears destroyed as the bus struggles to get up the steep hill. There is enough space for a parking lot up there, but on the bottom you also need to pay 10 Yuan for the parking.

On top of the expensive ticket price there is a waterslide and an escalator which both cost extra. It makes u kinda mad there.

If it's possible I would recommend to take a look if there is another spot to see the mountains. From far away I saw another one, but I can't say...

Zuo Er Shan National Park (卓尔山) is one of the latest attractions in Qilian county after the govt closed down the Qilian mountain for environmental protection. You will need to take the bus in the National Park to the entrance and as you hike up to the top of the National Park, you can enjoy the awesome scenery along the way up, especially the closedup views of the snow-capped Qilian mountain. You can also enjoy the beautiful sunset at the top of the mountain.

The 4 to 5 hours car ride from Zhangye or from Xining City to this mountain is...

We visited here while working at the Tour of Qinghai lake Cycle race. A really spectacular place. The views really warmed the soul. Parallels could be drawn between the views and those of the Swiss Alps.
