Once you arrive at Puzhehei, you can spend half a day here by starting the morning with a climb of QingLong mountain, which is about 1555m high and it will take you about 30 minutes to ascend and another 30 minutes to descend, depending on your pace. The nice thing is that the weather is not too warm, so that helps with the climb. The view at the top shall be your motivation. Following that, you can then take the boat to the village (I will suggest taking the ferry and not the canoe, in case it rains). It will help if you remember to bring some snacks so that you can also munch during the 30-40 minutes ride (can't remember the exact time) . Once you reach shore, take a walk in the village to see their way of life and have your lunch there before making your way back. Take some time to shop for sweet tasting fruits being sold to you by the locals, and their local handicraft might interest you.

it is a wonderful, beautiful place, there are lots of lotus flowers in the area in June to August. the mountain views are very similar to Guilin, and the weather is always perfect. there are three boat routes for lotus flower viewing along the lake with different boats and activities. definitely a must do activity in Puzhehei!
