West Bund Artistic Center — Attraction in Shanghai

Really airy, industrial, warehouse-type art exhibition tied to the Centre Pompidou, located right by the Huangpu River as part of a new sprawling arts complex in Shanghai. You can easily walk through the museum within 1.5–2 hours; the selection of artworks is small, but high-quality all around. There’s also a great cafe by the entrance for refreshments before or after your visit.

Unfortunately there’s no gift shop, but there’s a decently-sized store for coffee-table books and more serious art...

Around the Center you will find standalone containers and buildings hosting an assortment of galleries and studios, each with its own charm. Free to wander about, and some of the galleries also offer free admission. Went to the West Bund Artistic center for the TeamLab show and it was awesome. Tickets were 180rmb for adults, but then you can spend as much time as you want int the exhibits.
