Knight Valley — Attraction in Shenzhen

Many of the facilities here are run-down and have been out of operation for a long time. It’s clear that this theme park used to be quite nice, but due to a lack of tourists and poor maintenance, many attractions are no longer functioning. For example, the artificial waterfall is no longer running.

However, there are still a few spots with great scenery, such as the cable car ride to the top and the charming little train that runs through a European-style town with a lake. The staff operating the go-kart ride were also friendly and welcoming.

It’s unfortunate to see the park in this condition, but I hope that one day the local authorities will step in to renovate...

It is a major entertainment and resort complex in Yantian, Shenzhen, China. It was constructed at a cost of CNY 3.5 billion and covers an area of nearly 9 km2. Construction started in 2004 and it was opened in 2007. It is divided into 3 theme parks, namely Knight Valley (大侠谷), Tea Stream Resort Valley (茶溪谷) and Wind Valley (云海谷) and features 8 hotels and a Buddhist Temple.
