The animals here definitely need better care and the place needs updating.
I really recommend renting the scooters to explore the park. I believe it was 100 yuan per hour. Exploring the entire park by foot is doable but the park is HUGE so renting scooters will definitely help make it a better experience. We used them on and off for 3 or 4 hours.
The cool thing about this place is the ability to feed some of the animals. We got to feed elephants, giraffes, and Tigers, and pigs but there were more animals you could feed as well as long as you're willing to pay about 20-30 yuan per food for animal. Be prepared with your wallets though. We had a lady put parrots on our shoulders and take some pictures of us before demanding we pay them 40 yuan or 20 yuan per bird. It all happened so fast we weren't even told the price til after they put the birds on us.
When feeding animals like the pigs I noticed quite a few of them were severely sun burnt to the point their skin was peeling off and some were bleeding. We walked into an area where you can view insects and most of them were dead and had mold rotting on their bodies. It looks as though they weren't fed or cared for at all for weeks or months. The same thing with the jellyfish enclosure. Many of them were dead though it was harder to tell unless you looked closely.
A lot of the monkeys looked quite depressed too in small cages. I saw an ostrich who was so stressed it had pulled its own feathers off its behind. Not sure what happened to the dolphins that were advertised here.
You can tell the animals who make them money like the Tigers, bears, and lions get bigger enclosures and more care.
The ponies and camels you can ride also looked in distress sometimes. Their legs looked in pain as they had to stand in place for long periods on concrete. It was a very hot day as well and no water was provided for them.
I dont recommend supporting this place. Wish I had spent my time and money elsewhere. Pictures of the conditions some of the animals were...
Read moreA very beautiful zoo with many animals. The entrance fee is 200 yuan per adult. You can rent a car on site, which costs around €7 per hour. I would definitely recommend doing that because the park is very large and spread out.
What immediately caught my attention, though, was that some of the enclosures were far too small — especially for the monkeys. It’s really sad to see the poor animals in such conditions. Another issue is that many visitors throw food at the animals. For example, they buy corn on site and throw it into the enclosures. I’ve never seen anything like that in Germany. This kind of behavior should be stopped.
Other than that, it’s a very beautiful park and we really...
Read moreYou pay 200 yuan to enter which is a reasonable price for a zoo, but then you expect that you will be able to do at least basic things for free like the train, the safari and basically everything. It’s a shame how this park is really squeezing every yuan out of everyone’s pocket. On top of that many animal cages are way too small and are not properly suited for the animals they have. On top of that it’s also the task of the zoo and the zookeepers to feed the animals the appropriate food and the appropriate amount of food. But in this zoo people are just throwing garbage food at the animal 24/7, which makes the...
