Tianjin Zoo mixed orangutans and capybaras. A video showed that the orangutan were very rough with the capybara while playing. After many in China complained, the zoo not only did not remove the capybaras, but instead argued that this was normal play behavior and does not affect the health of the capybara.
To convince netizens of the animals' well-being, the zoo shared a video of the friendly moment.

Read moreOct 2023. Admission cost is relative cheap at 30 Yuan. For those that are use to seeing animals roaming around outdoors in landscapes similar to their natural habitat you will be disappointed.
The animals do have a small outdoor area but most stays indoor in their small tiny room resting. I am sure there will be alot of upset people seeing animals in a glass window enclosure. Different culture different mentality towards viewing. The Bears enclosure is quite large, hosting different types of species (Tibetan Bear, Brown bear and Black bear). There is a petting area for children that would be fun for them to enjoy the day. Park is not large. 1/10 maybe of Toronto Zoo.
