On June 26, following our enriching visit to the Global Geopark Geosphere Museum, we continued our guided tour to the Wudalianchi Pond World Geological Park Museum, deepening our appreciation for this remarkable UNESCO Global Geopark.
This tour further enhanced our understanding of the area's natural history. The guide was both knowledgeable and engaging, combining scientific explanation with cultural insights into the volcanic activity and ecosystem development of the region. Through vivid displays and well-curated exhibits, we gained a clearer picture of how Wudalianchi’s diverse terrain came to be, including the role of lava flows, basalt formations, and time in shaping the landscape.
As the tour progressed, our guide reminded us—just as they had at the start—to bring along an empty bottle. This simple instruction turned out to be quite meaningful. The final stop on the tour was a visit to one of Wudalianchi’s famous cold mineral springs, where visitors could collect fresh spring water. Known for its natural purity and rich mineral content, the spring water is widely believed to offer therapeutic benefits and is often sought after for its health-promoting properties.
