湖北省博物馆 — Attraction in Wuhan

I recently visited the Hubei Provincial Museum, and it exceeded all my expectations! This world-class museum houses an incredible variety of historical relics, from ancient bronzes and ceramics to intricate jade carvings and musical instruments. What impressed me most was how well-curated the exhibits are – each section features detailed storyboards that bring the rich history of the Chu culture and Hubei region to life.

The undisputed highlight was seeing the legendary Sword of Goujian (越王勾践剑) in person. This 2,500-year-old weapon is miraculously preserved, with its blade still sharp and intricate patterns clearly visible – a true testament to ancient Chinese metallurgy skills. Other standout exhibits include the breathtaking set of Zenghouyi Bells (曾侯乙编钟), an ancient musical instrument that still produces perfect tones today.

With its spacious galleries, informative displays, and air-conditioned comfort, it's perfect for a half-day cultural immersion. The museum offers free admission (just remember to book online in advance), and the nearby East Lake makes for a perfect post-museum stroll.

旅遊的最後一個行程是參觀湖北省博物館，當天早餐後，從酒店備妥行李，搭乘遊覽車抵達湖北省博物館，博物館占地頗廣，建築氣派，導遊於車上簡介了湖北省博物館的越王勾踐劍及曾侯乙編鐘等文物，於是我們進入博物館後，便立刻以這兩個文物為觀賞重點，果然欲見越王勾踐劍得排好長的隊伍，所幸大家秩序良好，等待約半小時進入越王勾踐劍的觀賞區，雖然吳王夫差與越王勾踐之臥薪嘗膽故事，流傳至今且廣為人知，但館方還是以動畫方式呈現了故事情節與越王勾踐劍的來龍去脈，近觀其劍非常優美，劍身紋路細節完整，果真千古名劍。

曾侯乙是戰國時期一國之君，近代在一次開發案中發現其陵墓，更起出令世人讚嘆的編鐘，曾侯乙編鐘是中國迄今發現數量最多、保存最好、音律最全、氣勢最宏偉的一套編鐘，據說亦曾於現代演奏過，那應是穿越千古之音吧！
