Stayed for four nights at this centrally located hotel close to all the major attractions of Xiโan. Enjoyed a very comfortable stay with the reception staff especially willing to ensure that all my requests were met despite my limited Mandarin Chinese skills.
In this regard a big thank you to Mary Wang who was always courteous, patient and good humoured to ensure that my stay was trouble free.
Should also point that I opted to go to see the Terracotta Army through an agent opposite the main reception area. They also offer a transportation service for other attractions outside of the city.
If you decide to go for this option to see the main draw of Xiโan, one should manage their expectations. Having said that, I should have taken the name of the lady who arranged my excursion who - even though English is not her native language - went out of her way to ensure that the day out went smoothly.
In this regard, my experience was that the transportation does not pick one up directly outside the hotel but round the corner by the Russian style clock tower. This may differ according to the traffic? To be fair, on the day of my excursion the traffic was exceptionally heavyโฆall part of the experience of travel!
Otherwise, as other reviewers have mentioned many excellent restaurants located in the vicinity of the hotel. One can sample many fine examples of the local Shaanxi cuisine and of course the local fare on offer in the nearby Muslim district.
Overall, in my view this place offers budget luxury. Certainly when compared to their European...

This.area.of.Xi'an is almost.24/7 hstle and.bustle yet the rooms.are quiet as a mouse and a good nigt's sleep is , as the hotel advertises, to sleep like a rock star.On arrival check in is a doddle and the very friendly and efficient staff gave me an upgraded room. I have to thank staff, namely Mary Wang, for their fantastic attention to detail and their knowledge of the locale.Rooms were clean, bed very comfortable, air conditioning a present from the gods and essential in the heat.Breakfast was well priced and timings industry standard til about 9.30am. Aselection of hot and cold, mainly Chinese but some western offerings. Tasty, filling and a variety from rice, meats, toast and pastries, fruits etc. Room service available but I didn't need it.Metroline a couple of 100 yards left out of hotel and very convenient to Yongning men where the city walls can be walked and, upon finishing, head to Sharky's bar for a band, chilled beer or soft drinks and fantastic burgers.Athoroughly enjoyable trip to Xian made all the more pleasant by a thoroughly lovely hotel and thoroughly lovely staff.Highly recommend: Terracota Army, city walls, pagoda...
ย ย ย Read moreLocation is good. Breakfast not really fantastic. Breakfast ended too early at 9.30am. Most hotels usually ended around 10.30am or 11am. Toilet basin n toilet bowl seems like not clean daily, only change towels. Bed sheets not changed when I stayed there for 4 days. Most hotels I stayed got mini fridge but this hotel I stayed did not provide. When asked the counter lady, she ask me to top up extra RMB160 for the upgrade. I'm ok with the top up but she later mentioned that even if I top up, breakfast we need to pay for the 4 days is RMB 400 (RMB 50 per pax) n total is around RMB 560. So my hubby said no point to upgrade just for fridge for RMB 560 as we presently booked the room already included breakfast. Forgot to take the pictures. When we checked out on 27/9/2024. The counter staff ask me to put good review for the hotel which I told her is up to individual n not by force.. I'm happy with the 2 days tours from this lady ่ตตๅฏผ้ ๆท, whom the tour agency tie up with the hotel. she is very very friendly n helpful n show us the ways to other places n which stations to change the metro.. Thumbs...
