When you visit Changsha, make sure to stop by this historic temple. In 1956, it was established as a cultural conservation unit in Hunan Province. It is one of the most important open monasteries in Chinese Buddhism, the Buddhist Zen Linzong Yangqi Temple.
Before you enter and purchase tickets, they will additionally offer you a packet of three joss sticks to worship with. When you enter, there is a large Guanyin statue where people gather to pray for blessings and good luck. There are several old buildings inside, with a solemn and quiet environment that will leave you feeling peaceful and calm. The lotus pond inside the temple is full of pigeons and turtles, and there are small monk statues down the aisle.
Many Chinese people love to come here and take pictures with those yellow and red walls too.
