This is one among the few lakes protected by the residents. But the problems are the pollution of the lake by the western side residents sewerage and unplanned garbage shipyard of the chitlapakkam town panchayat. 2002 I ride to school in my bicycle, I see the lake daily and it is getting more polluted by date. The garbage pile next to Chitlapakkam school is growing leaps and bound every month. The only thing I love about the lake is Ayyappan temple, I go regularly, listen to bhajans, blissful feeling all the way back home.

A beautiful Lake in Chitlapakkam, between Chrompet and Tambaram |Sanitorium. Very well developed Lake, Walking area has been well established not fully, a bit is left out. I can say it a Beach for Local residents. There is no eatable shop inside the Lake Area. A play area for children. It would be more beautiful if the park is installed with Ligets. Work is going on in full swing.
