Bahia Playa Concha

This beach is in a very remote location. We accessed it by car, but it would be far more pleasant to charter a boat for the trip.

The access path requires an intermediate to advanced off-road skill as well as awd if not 4x4.

When you arrive, if you're a tourist, expect incessant pestering by vendors and parking attendants.

Although the physical location of the beach is beautiful, the views are acceptable and the Bay is mediocre.

Vendors truly ruin the experience as they harass you, passing every 5 minutes whistling at you, offering drinks or serenading you with flute noises.

We had a disagreement with a vendor who forced a drink on our friend who refused 4 times and didn't drink the drink, eventually returning it. He wanted 40k pesos for it so we gave it back. He was displeased, unpleasant and somewhat aggressive when we "only" tipped him (voluntary) 10k pesos. He was frustrated adjusting the bill for the returned drink. A poor scam.

Luckily after that they cut us off and "warned" all the vendors to avoid doing business with us. 3 hours in and we finally had peace, then began the mad dash to beat the...

It was ok, not the most fabulous beach I have ever been to (yah want amazing beaches and fabulous food - mexico ). We biked to this beach up a slow ascent from santa marta through the villages then the dirt road came and it was hot. The cost to enter to beach was 6000 COP the people at the front will collect 7000 COP then follow you in asking if you want restaurant service so they take their cut there as well. Its around 50000 COP to eat at the beach. Its ok, but would I go again probably not. There are plenty of other beaches. But, did this one once. I would like to hike over the mountain from Tanaga to Concha and the other beach but the locals say its too dangerous... Anyhow, this beach was ok to spend a day there. El lugar es hermoso. Hace unos 10 años era un lugar más cautivador. Porque no se veía esa invasión de carpas por todo lado. Pero aun así es un lugar hermoso para visitar.

Este sitio se encuentra a 1h y 30min en Chiva desde el Rodadero.

El valor por persona ida y vuelta en Chiva : Esta entre 25.000 a 35.000. Recomiendo negociar muy bien. El ingreso a la Playa tiene un valor de 3.500 pero este costo ya esta incluido en el transporte; es muy importante que sea acalarado este tema. Porque para esta ocasión que fui, vi a mucha gente que les cobraban demasiado por el transporte y aparte les cobraban 10.000 del ingreso a la playa.

"Esta bien que trabajen , pero no que abusen de los turistas."

Cuando llegan al parqueadero, hay que caminar aproximadamente 15 minutos hasta la playa y lo mismo de vuelta para salir, porque no dejan ingresar los buses para no dañar el ecosistema. La playa tiene una capacidad permitida al dia de 2.000 personas.

Al llegar pueden alquilar una carpa con 4 sillas, el valor esta entre 20.000 a 30.000 ( ya depende de su capacidad para negociar)

El almuerzo esta en un valor aproximado de 25.000 ( las cocinas no son muy limpias que digamos) ya es a consideración de cada persona.

La cerveza, gaseosa o agua tiene un valor de 5.000. Como recomendación pueden llevar en una maleta algo para tomar. ( no olviden que hay que caminar y cargar lo que lleven por unos 15 minutos).

Por otro lado, también pueden disfrutar del acuario en donde lo llevan en lancha a uno para ver los arrecifes y bancos de peces de muchos colores. Pueden Caretear, es muy lindo.

El mejor lugar para estar es al costado derecho de la playa. Al final de las carpas. Es un lugar más tranquilo donde se puede disfrutar de la tranquilidad que tiene esta hermosa playa.

-Transporte ida y vuelta en chiva. Lo recogen a uno y lo dejan a uno( dependiendo del lugar). Manilla de ingreso a la playa que tiene un valor de 3.500( buscar tarifas para el año actual para las personas que van en carro). Transporte ida y vuelta en lancha al acuario. Caretear por 15 a 20 minutos

Pienso que es muy económico si saben negociar.

Es importante madrugar, la playa la cierran...
