Visité la reserva en temporada de altas lluvias y me pareció encantador pues de no ser así pocas veces se puede observar tanta variedad de bromelias, helechos, hongos y licopodios en su mayor esplendor. Si se toma en cuenta que la reserva surge en 1991 en terrenos (210 ha) que fueron intervenidos por el hombre desde 1937 para obtener roca caliza y a partir de esta «cal viva» el renoval o bosque secundario admirablemente se ha recuperado rápida y vigorosamente. En definitiva, un lugar para conocer y disfrutar de cortas y físicamente nada exigentes caminatas en buena compañía.
