Lake La Pradera — Attraction in Dosquebradas

Lake La Pradera is a pretty neat park with something for everyone. There's a long walking trail around the lake, and even on a weekday when it wasn't crowded there were people walking and jogging, enjoying the view. There are ducks, flowers, and other wildlife to see and enjoy.

Around the lake, aside from other people walking, there are plenty of things to see and do. Soccer fields, playground with swings, paddle boats you can rent, workout equipment, and more. We saw fruit vendors, and a roller skating track. People playing volleyball, and a broken boat on the land with kids playing on it. Lots of birds and plants, a place to buy coffee and snacks, and so much more.

If the weather is nice, you could easily spend all day at Lake La Pradera and not run out of things to see and do. They do charge admission to get in, and you'll want to have a little money for fruit, coffee, or whatever else you might want to try, but everything we encountered was very inexpensive, so it's a great way to enjoy an afternoon without spending much.

Pésimo servicio y atención en la entrada, entiendo que el pago de la entrada ayuda con la adecuación y mantenimiento del mismo, pero es personal poco calificado para atender ser un punto de atención a público, si se debe ingresar por un evento que se está haciendo, se debe hacer parar para que el organizador valla a la entrada para autorizar el ingreso de las personas, así estén carnetizadas o identificadas con las escarapelas correspondientes, el servicio de baños es deplorable, al parecer el pago del ingreso no cubre la limpieza y mantenimiento de estas zonas, las cosas casetas o puntos de venta de comidas tienen mal ratificados los valores, no hay quién regule un estándar y algo que se ajuste al lugar, además del mal clima permanente de la zona, no hay lugares adecuados para resguardarce de los fuertes aguaceros, se tiene un avistamiento de alguna aves que anidan en los árboles que rodean el lago, peces y tortugas son el atractivo de los pequeños, pero irresponsablemente se venden "chitos" para alimentación de los mismos, alimento que no es adecuado para ninguna de la clases de animales que habitan en esta área, pocas cestas de basura, por ende se logra evidenciar la falta de cultura al tema 1 por lo mencionado anteriormente y 2 no se tienen elementos adecuados para el depósito de estos residuos, es resumen, un lugar pero ver algunos ejemplares de aves y peces, pero para lo demás totalmente decepcionante el lugar, nada...

Good place to take your dog for a walk. They also have pools, rollerblading rings, a soccer field, a small bike trail, a very small pond with boat rental, ducks and fish you can feed and small food and gift shops. The entrance is cheap, only 2k pesos. There isn't much of parking. You have to leave your car out on the street. The park can get crowded very fast, due to its small size. RECOMMENDED: Bring your own seats or picnic blanket, not much...
