The botanical garden is quite small but packs a lot into it. We went on a weekday and we're literally the only people there. We saw a variety of birds including Kingfishers, Humming Birds, Woodpeckers and Vultures, There are turtles and squirrels everywhere and there was a large lake with fish, ducks and terrapins. As we were leaving after an already satisfying visit, one of the lovely staff members gestured to us to follow her. She pointed out some sloths which we would otherwise have missed. A good place for photos, picnics and botanical discoveries for children. Reinforcing, of course, that the people who visit the park, take care of it, because sadly you can see the bark of the battered trees. The idea of stamping the name of lovers on the stem of a tree can be "romantic" but it totally damages the beauty...

Nice to hear the water from the creek. Very natural grounds with old trees and many paths. Saw several turtles, some ducks, and different birds.
The place needs signage and the ponds need to be cleaned. Love that no pets are allowed, so patrons can walk the paths without worrying about stepping...
