Ten out of ten; its a medium -long trail with aprox 18 kilometers 4 of them on plain sight and the rest all the way up and then the same one down to return, after 4200 mts of the 5120 mts we did that day; i started suffering so-called easy managing high symptoms ; hard suffocation after short steps and a sorta stomachache , so i did the final steps at my own rythm ; i strongly suggest get with the slight weight possible , so ur trip wont get any more difficult and you will enjoy the hours to hike -return with no additional weight, dont leave anything that does not belong there (trash), take as many pics as u want following the directions given , leave additional cash to the guiders and people there , the place can only improve and be conserved with ur...
Read moreIt's beautiful. I guess that is shown by the other pictures so I will concentrate on the fitness aspect and the ascent. Compared to the Grande Laguna hike this one was much more demanding in terms of fitness and technique. I'm active with lifting weights and tennis, 37, but hate everything cardio. As you can see on the picture for the ascent steepness, the first half is easy peasy and then quickly turns into a very steep ascent with climbing boulders. This exhausted myself a lot and made also the last hundred meters on top hard. In the end, this was doable with a lot of small breaks to catch a breath. If I could choose again, I would do the Laguna hike...

Importante llevar buenos zapatos para caminar y ojalá una chaqueta impermeable, porque puede llover; además tener buena condición física y ojalá pasar una noche antes en el Güicán y hacer una caminata corta por los senderos que allí pueden encontrar. Durante la caminata, si llevan comidas en empaques desechables, regresen las basuras hasta su casa, no las dejen allá. Llevar buena hidratación, no agua sola, mejor aguapanela con limón o también sales de rehidratación o sobres de Activade o algo que se prepare. Al bajar, de regreso, procuren caminar con las piernas abiertas un poco para cuidar las rodillas. Cuiden la fauna y flora que encuentren en el camino. Solo vayan por el sendero autorizado. Procurar vaciar la vejiga e intestino antes de salir a la caminata; si es una urgencia, el guía les indicará qué deben realizar.
