Santafé de los Guaduales — Attraction in Ibagué

What a beautiful place run by people who truly love what they do. We arrived on Friday, and there was none else around, just amazing! We were immediately offered Tintico (black coffee sweetened with panela) and then given a private tour to the waterfall, by Alejandro, a younger gentleman who was so helpful with my elderly mother and full of smiles! After our hike, we were treated to a super tasty lunch and a great conversation with the owner, Raul, about the history of this Finca and how he acquired it. The cost was more than fair, and not priced like other “tourist tours” in the area. We will definitely be back and recommend Santafé de los Guaduales to anyone...

Al llegar al lugar, fue necesario buscar alguna persona para que nos informara sobre los servicios, no encontramos a nadie en el puesto de información. Al preguntarle a una empleada, nos contó sobre la posibilidad de un pasadia, que incluía almuerzo, servicio de piscina y una caminata por 45 mil pesos persona; o la opción del almuerzo por 30 mil sin más información. Se le preguntó sobre las condiciones del sendero para caminar pues mi madre es adulto mayor, nos informó que no tendría dificultades, sin embargo al iniciar el recorrido el guía nos manifiesta que dadas las condiciones de inclinación y paso por la quebrada, mi madre no iba a poder realizar el recorrido y recomendó regresar al restaurante. Con ella se regresaron dos de nuestros acompañantes, quienes solicitaron se retornara el valor correspondiente a las tres personas que no hicieron caminata ni usaron la piscina. La respuesta por parte de la misma empleada fue, que no podían regresar dinero, pues para el servicio de almuerzo solo está incluído dos horas en el lugar; información que nunca conocimos desde la llegada. I really enjoyed this place, went there with my mom, sis & nephews, the cost for the activities that they offer is reasonable and definitely worth it, (lunch, swimming pool, trails, guided hike & waterfall). They have also kept the place as a natural reserve with native forest and reforestation which I really respect. I'm going to keep coming back on the weekends and inviting...
