Santo domingo — Attraction in Medellín

A trip to the favelas of Medellin was probably the second most impressive experience in this city, right after visiting the Montesacro Cemetery. Honestly, I initially set out for Parque Arví, but upon arrival, I realized there was absolutely nothing to do there except finally breathe some fresh air. I had expected breathtaking views from the mountain top over all of Medellin, but there was no view to speak of. Not wanting to waste all that time, I decided to take a risk and explore the favelas around the Santo Domingo cable car stop—the same ones I could see from the balcony of my apartment, scattered across the mountain slopes around the city, their night lights sparkling like scattered diamonds. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and decided not to visit Comuna 13 afterward, as I felt the impressions from this area were more authentic. Firstly, it was very clean and peaceful. Secondly, the people were entirely different—friendly and hospitable. Thirdly, the food was excellent. And finally, it was fascinating to see something other than the metropolis teeming with people and hostile glares! Exelente apesar de que la gente ase comentarios de que es muy peligroso la verdad no me pareció la gente muy querida como buenos paisas....y también ay negocios de comidas tiendas de ropa y diferentes artesanías bien por el parque para los niños la verdad me agrado mucho yo si los invito a qué vengan y conoscan y nos saquemos esos mitos dela cabeza de que esque ya las comunas son peligrosas no enserio vengan disfruten y pásenla chévere sin temor alguno todos somos antioqueños la vida es una sola ay que salir a conocer nuestro...

Un rincón excelente de la ciudad de Medellín, deben atreverse a explorarlo y disfrutar el comercio que hay a su alrededor, complacerse con la maravillosa vista de toda la ciudad desde el volador, ahí mismo hay un parque donde los niños pueden entretenerse y negocios aledaños para disfrutar la tarde, en la noche la zona es muy iluminada y es muy frecuentada. Ya pasaron las épocas donde este barrio fue azotado por la violencia, ahora hay mayor presencia policial y encuentras personas empaticas...
