En nuestra ruta de 19 días por Costa Rica, en Alajuela empezamos, y terminamos nuestro recorrido, después de haber disfrutado de todo el país. Nos despedimos aquí en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, había misa, era Domingo, y estaba llena de gentes, me gusto mucho sus pinturas en la bóveda, y el belén instalado, tiene muy buena acústica, pues los cantos sonaban muy bien, tiene una cúpula de color rojo, en su exterior. La iglesia está emplazada, desde su remodelación, sus orígenes, data de 1782.

All the doors were open, people flowing through freely, children playing near the altar, yet it felt very peaceful.

Beautiful Spot with the Park opposite and many places for eating and shopping. A must see in Alajuela!
