I was here in 2021 and found it to be so beautiful. Now, I am back for 3 weeks for retreats and pleasure. The new buildings are beautiful. The staff are friendly, kind and helpful. I must admit that this place is for those who can manage peace, quiet, living in nature and theres lots of walking inclines and declines. I am motivated to stay healthy while I am here. The vegetarian means are delicious and plentiful. The waterfall nearby is breathtaking and worth the walking hike there and back. Living in the rainforest is peaceful and life-affirming. I recommend this place for groups, solo trips, retreats, and gatherings.

Sooo worth a visit! We went on our way back from exploring Chontales & we were so glad we stopped! The trail to the waterfall is so peaceful as you hear the bubbling brook throughout. The hike itself is not very strenuous & there’s a lot of shade. While you can’t necessarily swim in the waterfall there are plenty of places to take a shallow dip & relax. Was only $15 for 2 people. Oh and the waterfall is so tall! Beautiful!

Can’t swim (not deep enough) and it’s no Nauyaca or Chontales, but if you want a private, beautiful waterfall with good people, Casada Elysiana is a gem. Stay in the beautiful lodges and try the food.
