I went here on a day trip with my friends from San José and I loved every second of it. We were able to take an Uber there and back. The hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. In the tour we saw a wide variety of plants, as well as spiders, frogs, and a couple of toucans. At the end of the tour we were offered homemade pastries, strawberry juice, and a sample of their homemade moonshine. Delicious! The tour is offered in English, lasted about two hours, and costs only 10,000 colones ($20USD). You need to call/text on WhatsApp ahead of time to reserve a time slot. I strongly recommend everyone to experience this tour - families, friends, couples,...
Read moreThis place is amazing! It is so lovingly maintained. It is a literal backyard jungle. So beautiful. And there is so much to learn. Randall taught me so much about orchids and animal migrations, their vanilla plants and the overall conservation effort of Costa Rica. I got to see beautiful flowers and several birds fluttering through the trees. When I got there the entire family was working to do maintenance on the property after five days of nonstop rain. I didn't know that most people make a reservation(definitely do that) but they still were able to help me and give me such an amazing experience. Thank you so much. Must see for anyone...
Read moreAmazing experience! We visited today and had a wonderful time seeing the beautiful wild orchids, colorful hummingbirds, and all the towering trees and plants that provide a home for the incredibly diverse flora and fauna. Randall and Fred are incredibly knowledgeable and generously share what they know with visitors in a mini-lecture before the tour starts. The homemade treats at the end were delicious. We will be back and will recommend to our friends who come to visit Costa Rica. Highly recommended visit for anyone interested in seeing a genuine example of Costa Rican nature and how to nurture...
