Visiting AWA was a pleasant experience. We struggled a bit to find the place and the car (not a 4x4) could not make the hill but we parked on the road below and it was fine. We were greeted by Daniel that showed us the trails, waterfalls, some curiosities about the plants and the animals. He was very nice and friendly and answer all our tourist questions. We also had the company of his dog along the way, which was also fun. After seeing all the 4 waterfalls, lots of small frogs and a bigger frog (poison dart frog!), a great variety of butterflies inducing the beautiful Morpho azul, we had a great casados lunch with fish and sugar cane juice with lemon and honey. There are toilet and shower facilities to use, which you will need after the tiring hike and/or if you swim in the big waterfall (13-14m deep) which we did. Highly recommend the visit!

This place is absolutely beautiful and our guide Carlos was wonderful. The road to get here requires an suv or truck and then the path to get down to the entrance is 4x4 recommended. You can either go by yourself or have the very knowledgeable guide Carlos take you to the 4 big clear waterfalls. This place is a hidden gem with clear and clean easy paths, I do recommend reserving before arriving as the guide might not always be there.

Wonderful waterfall experience. Met Carlos at the house ahead of the entrance who guided us down by foot and taught us about the surroundings and fauna. Spent forever enjoying the spectacular, endless waterfalls— there were 2 in the main area and then more if you climb up one of them. Pleasant water temp. Cost approx $30 per person. Call in advance to reserve a meal
