A truly an unforgettable experience. The uniqueness of this place lies in its enchanting caves and intricate statues, which create an atmosphere like no other. Walking through the cavernous halls felt like stepping into a different world, and it's an excellent choice for hosting events that need a touch of magic.
However, there is one aspect that could use improvement - the decoration. The mix of ancient marble statues alongside some unusual metal sculptures can be a bit jarring. It would be beneficial if they aimed for a more cohesive and harmonious aesthetic.
As for the food, the Italian cuisine was good, though not exceptional. While it didn't reach the level of greatness I expected, it was still enjoyable. The one concern I had was with the space distribution among the various restaurants; it felt a bit forced and could be better organized.
Despite these minor criticisms, Anfiteatro de Villa is a hidden gem that offers an uncommon experience you won't easily find elsewhere. Its captivating ambiance and suitability for events make it a place worth visiting, and I look forward to seeing how it evolves...
Read moreThis is a tourist trap. The grounds (free) have some interesting sculptures. But, if you have basic familiarity with Egyptian, Roman, Mexican and other cultures and have visited any cultural and art museums, DO NOT tour the caverns. You will be sorely disappointed. All their sculptures and artifacts are poor replicas made of plaster and resin material. The walls are lifelessly painted to depict different cultural scenes. Several of the rooms showcase basic wood tables and chairs for events. We had no interest in renting any of these spaces for events, so that was a waste.
The tour guide, Diego, spoke so fast and with a thick accent that we barely understood what he was saying. He also read the descriptions of what the various rooms contained from his phone. I'm sure Diego is a lovely person, but he should not be giving tours if he has not mastered the content. Watching him continuously read from his phone further detracted from the experience.
We felt cheated, wasted our time and want...
