I almost don’t want to review this at the risk of it becoming too popular. This was Ana amazing reserve. We had an awesome day here spending over 4 hours on a weekend as the only people in the park exploring every trail and every sign. Great interpretive signs in English and Spanish, helpful ranger, and nicely maintained trails. Waze is generally what we use in Costa but it didn’t have us going to the right spot - google maps worked better to get here. If you take the long trail expect a great hike to the mirador (about 4 km) where you can see the ocean south at punts islita, east to the inside of the Nicoya and north to the Gold Coast.

One of the smallest reserves in Costa Rica does not disappoint. Fantastic walks and sights. The reserve has several route's and is designed to suit everyone's level of exercise. There is a fantastic walk through an Orchid path. Sadly when we went it was just out of the main orchid season (January) so we didn't get to see them in full bloom. There is a small hostel available for organized trips. It may be a small reservation but is well worth the trip if you're staying on the peninsula. Loved it.

A very special place for people who love natur, are interested in the rainforest and good typical food. The guides and the assistants are very kind and every trip into the rainforest was a real adventure filled with informations. The accommodation is simple but clean and you have the possibility to sleep outside - the monkeys will wake you up at dawn with their crys! The food is excellent and cooked fresh every day in the outdoor kitchen. I will surely come again!

We loved it! We stayed there for one night and slept upstairs, which is pretty much outside, although protected against rain by a roof. The beds were comfy and clean, and the owners even openend a room for us, in case we get too cold sleeping outside. Everything was clean and it was a great experience. The owners were super friendly and even left us some dinner, although the Restaurant was closed. The hike up to the mirador took us an Hour (and another Hour back) and was challenging but worth it. The other hikes were very easy and fast. Definitely recommend going there and staying...
